I know this is a “fashun blog” but I just had to share with ya’ll my homemade KP costume because I’m so proud of it! I have never, ever made any type of clothing item ever in my life, but somehow I made up this little number. Can you believe it? It all started with the Katy Perry movie which made me decide that I wanted to be peppermint KP for Halloween. Unfortunately for me, they don’t sell that costume anywhere. So I winged it. I got the plain tube dress via Asos ($13 on clearance) and all of my craft supplies at Hobby Lobby. The peppermints are made of Styrofoam which I covered in fabric, hand-painted, covered in cellophane, and tied off with ribbons. I attached the peppermints to the dress with safety pins (remember that part about how I don’t craft?). I cut a length of thick ribbon to use as the sash/belt and attached a glittery bow (not pictured) in the back. I topped off the look with tons of cellophane, glitter, a Christmas tree garland necklace, and a black wig. Voila!
Hope to see everyone else’s Halloween costumes on their blogs!
