Hey guys! Today is a short post – we took the fewest amount of pictures on this day because we were in the car for the majority of the day. We drove from Napa Valley down to Monterey, with a stop for lunch in Santa Cruz, which took us a good four hours or so. Needless to say, I dressed for comfort! I bought these pants at Old Navy before our trip and I love them. George told me they look like pajamas (he’s totally right), but that didn’t stop me!
Our first day on the Monterey Peninsula was a fun one, but the weather was so cloudy and gray that it was kind of a bummer. We decided to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium that day since it was yucky outside. I am a huge fan of aquariums, and that one was by far one of my favorites! The aquarium was huge and right on the water, with a lot of really interesting exhibits and cool fish I had never seen before. I would’ve been totally happy with just the adorable otters, but that place was above and beyond. It’s definitely a must-see if you happen to be close by!
We ended the day with a little shopping, dinner, and a stop at the beach in downtown Carmel. Carmel is pretty much the cutest place you could ever imagine. The shops are a nice mix of high end and souvenir stores, and there are lots of charming little restaurants. I picked up a case for my Kindle Fire at Coach on sale for $20 – such a bargain!
