I’m really excited to share this look with you today because this graphic floral dress is one my most favorite things I’ve ever worn. I wore this to my stepsister’s wedding in Buffalo, NY a few weeks ago. I love the bold floral print, and the full skirt was perfect for twirling and dancing. In preparation for our trip, I had ordered and tried on several dresses before eventually settling on this one. I actually wasn’t sure about this one at first because the straps were too long. It was hard for me to visualize how the top would fit once it was altered, but I decided to keep it anyway and had my mom take up the straps. Once that small change was made, the dress fit perfectly and I was so excited to wear it!
The dress is made of a material commonly referred to as “scuba” because it feels similar to a wet suit. The material feels thick and sturdy to the touch, but it was so lightweight to wear and the skirt had a lot of movement to it. I also love that I lugged this dress around in my suitcase until I wore it the last night of our trip, and I never had to iron it. I had previously never bought anything in a scuba material, but now I’m a believer! Asos always has a huge selection of beautiful scuba dresses (some are linked in the widget below), so I’m sure I will be buying more soon.
Side note – I know that my off-white cross body saddle bag that I’m wearing here doesn’t quite match. I actually forgot to pack a clutch to go with this dress. If you’re heading to an out of town wedding, I’d definitely recommend to bring something that matches! The bag I had worked fine, so it wasn’t a big deal to me, but I just thought I’d throw that little tidbit out there.
