Last week I had the privilege of meeting local jewelry designer Andrea Montgomery with a few of my blogging friends. Andrea’s jewelry line is new to me, so it was really interesting to get to visit her space and learn more about her brand. I had a lot of fun browsing all of the beautiful pieces and getting to chat with both old and new friends!
One of the big takeaways from this event was remembering how important it is to support local businesses and designers. I was amazed to find out that Andrea makes all of her pieces by hand in her own home. Isn’t that amazing?! Each piece of jewelry has a story and a process behind it, which I think makes these pieces even more special. I think that anything from her line can be worn for years to come because there’s an elegant simplicity behind each style. I fell in love with so many pieces when I visited, and it was so cool to know that everything in there was handmade in my local community.
I highly encourage all of you to head on over to Andrea’s site to take a look around. With the holidays coming up, this is a perfect opportunity to get a head start on your shopping! There are so many great pieces that are perfect for gifting such as this Texas state heart necklace or this letter necklace. Some of my personal favorites are these pearl and leaf earrings and this pink sapphire necklace (hint hint…is my husband reading this?). Andrea is also offering an exclusive discount code to my blog readers to get 20% off your purchase, now through Christmas! Just use code “shopandtwirl” at checkout. Happy holidays to you, my friends!
